Ashley joined the firm in June 2014 as an account manager and has since worked with many clients including Toyota, Diageo, Louisville Regional Airport Authority, the National Center for Families Learning, and The Greater Clark Foundation. Her areas of specialty include media relations, digital communications, spokesperson/media training, event coordination and management, crisis communications management and community relations.
Ashley’s previous roles include marketing communications manager for The Al J. Schneider Company, Louisville’s largest owner/operator of hotels. Her role involved both internal and external communications, including public relations, web content, and social media, as well as project management. She worked with local, regional and national media members to generate publicity for the company’s three hotels, multiple restaurants, events and other entities. Some of her favorite projects included a media weekend involving three dozen regional journalists and earning stories in print, television and blogs; launching three new restaurants including a Bourbon bar along Louisville’s Bourbon Row; and earning a full-page placement in National Geographic Traveler’s “2014 Best of the World” issue.
Before joining The Al J. Schneider Company, Ashley worked as a television news producer in Louisville at WAVE-TV; Des Moines, Iowa, at WOI-TV; and Sioux City, Iowa, at KCAU-TV. While spending most of her time writing, planning and overseeing the execution of nightly newscasts, Ashley also produced special projects including Kentucky Derby live coverage, presidential election coverage, and sports specials. She received numerous awards including multiple Best Newscast distinctions from the Kentucky Society of Professional Journalists, Kentucky Associated Press, and Iowa Broadcast News Association.
Ashley earned her Master of Business Administration at the University of Louisville in September 2013. She also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from Western Kentucky University in broadcast news and psychology.
A longtime Louisvillian, Ashley is an active member of the Rotary Club of Louisville, where she recently completed a three-year Leadership Fellowship and served as Communications Committee chair and vice chair. She is also a member of the University of Louisville MBA Alumni Council executive board, serving as vice president. Additionally, Ashley is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, and fitness.
